2017 RD2 SHOWDOWN RESULTS

There is a new Sheriff in Town! The second race of Adria Drift Series was held on Krško's Raceland racetrack. Raceland is by now well known location among the drifters and has great infrastructure. The track itself is very technical, yet flowy.

There were 24 competitors on the starting list, many of them were newcomers. They came from Austria, Italy, Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia and Hungary. Spectators could also see many new and attractive cars, such as Dražen Pavičić's powerful BMW with 800+ horsepower or Kavalir's interesting BMW E36 cabrio.

The day started well with many great runs already in practice sessions. As the drivers were testing their setups, we have also seen some spinouts and corners driven too wide, which almost costed Miloš Djordjević the race, as he hit the hay bale hard.

In very interesting qualification runs Tabak, Kauderer, Barle and above mentioned Djordjević announced their appetites for the win in RD2. And for the first time in Adria Drift Series the top four qualifiers made it to TOP4 elimination runs! And the TOP4 it was! The judges hadn't have an easy job. In the battle between Tabak and Kauderer they even had to review the runs on video so they could announce the winner. The epic final runs between Tabak and Djordjević were very much alike the tough battles we saw in the first season of Adria Drift Series between Houtonji brothers. After another tough decision, the judges announced Djordjević as the winner of RD2, who also got the award for Moment of the race for stunning transition between 3rd and 4th apex in the final run. Unfortunately in the battle for the 3rd place with Kauderer Barle's car broke down and he finished the race on 4th place. Nevertheless, he proved himself as most promising Slovenian driver in the series. We also have to mention Italian Ivan Vogrig, who took the Rookie of the race award.

All the drivers on the podium got some nice gifts from our sponsors Braun, Sonax, Huawei, BV and JBL!

Last year's champion Uroš Berdajs was eliminated in the TOP8. As also was in the RD1 very good Podboršek.

In the Show'n'Shine area we hosted 43 cars from Austria, Croatia and Slovenia, which is a great number. But what is more important is the quality of the work on them – and it was stunning.
