2017 RD3 THE ARENA RESULTS

Gladiators have returned to the arena, but only one of them was undefeated! Adria Drift Series returned to the beautiful Croatian coast and city of Split at the perfect time of the year.

Day one ended with a specialty for this weekend. For the very first time in the history of our series we organised a street parade with drift cars right in the city center. Hi-revving engines and lunch controls out louded the last day of Splitski Festival and attracted a various crowds.

We could witness various international applications among drivers from Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Serbia and Slovenia. Despite the lack of drivers, the third round of the season quality definitely outburst the quantity.

It’s really nice to see how some drivers are developing and growing round by round which was immediately proven in the qualifications. David Barle took his very first top qualifier spot in his career in front of Igor Tabak. Newcomer to the series Franz Kuncic took third with his Skyline R33 and another upcoming star Ivan Višković was third. Last but not least, let’s not forget to mention Miha Petač with his best qualification result in his career - 5th place.

Unfortunately going into TOP16 we could witness several by-runs, as some drivers were forced to withdraw due to mechanical issues on their cars. Still GREAT8 put on a tremendous show with outstanding battles all the way to the final battle, where yet again judges were forced to watch video replay of the runs between David Barle and Igor Tabak. At the end Tabak managed to took another victory and once again conquer THE ARENA. In battle for third Višković won against Kuncic, who got moment of the race award for doing so called “kiss the wall” in that battle and made crowd go wild.
